Sheila A. Martinez, EdD
Dr. Martinez is co-founder of A-S-K, and served as Executive Vice President until 2015 when she was elected Chief Executive Officer. As CEO she is responsible for corporate planning as well as strategic business planning and development and oversees corporate and customer relations. Her experience with the company includes corporate administration, human resources management, contract management, and customer relations. Dr. Martinez holds BS Ed, MS Ed and EdD degrees from The University of Kansas. She is dedicated to serving the community and has provided leadership on numerous boards in Lawrence, Kansas City and at The University of Kansas.
Bridget Walmsley, CPA
Ms. Walmsley was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer in December 2007. She joined A-S-K Associates in 1995 as the company’s Accountant and later its Comptroller. In 2001 she was promoted to Vice President of Finance and Administration. She has served on the A-S-K Board of Directors since 2001 as the corporation’s treasurer. Ms. Walmsley’s areas of responsibility include implementing the company’s strategic goals and objectives as well as providing leadership and strategic direction for all financial and operational functions. She directly oversees the Conference Management Group and the Information Technology Group. Ms. Walmsley holds a BS in Business from Emporia State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is an avid Jayhawk basketball fan and can often be found working out at Red Dog Days after office hours.
Sherie Howell, CMP, CMM, CGMP
Conference Division Director
Ms. Howell became Director of the Conference Management Group in 2013. She brought her many years of experience in the hospitality industry to A-S-K Associates in 2003 serving as Conference Manager until her promotion to Director. Her vast experience encompasses the entire life cycle of event management. Ms. Howell is focused on relationships with our customers and oversees all CMG events and staff to assure quality performance. Ms. Howell is active in various professional organizations in the Kansas City area and has received numerous awards for her contributions and expertise.
Kim Long, IT Division
Executive Vice President
Ms. Long joined the leadership team in 2017 with over 20 years of technology leadership experience. She consistently provides quality solutions and client service delivery and has a passion for exceptional customer satisfaction. Ms. Long has been awarded for her innovative uses of technology platforms and recognized for exceptional methodologies and best practices in client delivery. Her responsibilities for the technology division include marketing, client engagement management, solution delivery, account team management and resource management. Kim’s academic pursuit was Business Management in California at Chaffee College. Her interests include charitable outreach as well as coaching and mentoring in the fields of STEM, Professional Services and Career Development. She loves working out at the gym, being involved with church and community, and traveling with her son.
